1981年生まれ　　滋賀県在住　　2000年から「やまなみ工房」に所属 2011年、彼の描いた絵がとある団体のイメージデザインとして使用されたことをきっかけに、作品制作に取り組むようになる。モチーフは動物や恐竜、大好きな電車等様々で主にマーカーを使用して描かれてゆく。獰猛な動物や迫力のある恐竜も、彼が描くとどこか間の抜けた愛嬌のあるキャラクターへと変貌を遂げる。作業の合間に描き、最近ではレインコートに鮮やかな彩色で様々な動物を描く等、創作を楽しみながら新たなイメージが広がってゆく。いつでも、誰とでも明るくコミュニケーションをとる彼が、これからは作品という媒体を通じて、より多くの人へ思いを伝えていくことだろう。

born in 1981/ living in Shiga/ at YAMANAMI since 2000 After one of his paintings was chosen and used as a poster design of an organization, Yu Yokoi started to work on his paintings even more enthusiastically. Yu Yokoi likes to draw his favorite things, such as animals, dinosaurs, and trains with marker pens. The animals and dinosaurs drawn by Yu Yokoi are droll and humorous and make people smile, just like the artist himself. Recently he enjoys painting pictures not only on paper but also on raincoats.
