1994年生まれ　滋賀県在住2012年から『やまなみ工房』に所属 彼女が創作活動に取り組むようになった頃は主に絵画活動が中心であった。ファッション誌を開いてはポーズを決めた女性モデルを紙一面に描き連ねる作品を数多く作りだす。 きれいな洋服やおしゃれへの憧れは絵画から刺繍へと作業の幅を広げていく。 ワイシャツに無作為に次々と糸を縫い込むと玉止めもせず大胆に糸を鋏で切ってゆく。何度も上から縫い重ねる為、自然と糸は抜けることなく定着する。糸の種類や色も様々で、同じ作業を繰り返しながらその都度違う風合いの作品が完成してゆく。 彼女の中には刺繍作品という意味合いよりも、彼女しかできない一点物の洋服を仕立てるような思いが強いのかもしれない。

Born in 1994, residing in Shiga Prefecture and a member of ATELIER YAMANAMI since 2012. When Yamazaki first started making art, she was mainly focused on drawing fashion models from magazines, filling entire pages with rows of models in different poses. Her curiosity toward elaborate garments and fashion expanded her interest from drawing to stitch work. On a button-up shirt, Yamazaki randomly sews a piece of thread and cuts it loose without knotting the end. She repeats this process multiple times until the threads are knotted and fixed into position. Despite the simple method, the random arrangement and variety of threads that are used makes each piece unique with its own texture and style. Judging from the pieces she has created so far; Yamazaki uses stitch work as a way to create one-of-a-kind clothing that only she can create.
