1994 年生まれ　滋賀県在住　2013年から「やまなみ工房」に所属 大好きな食べ物やテレビのキャラクターや動物等、ただ好きな物を描くことが彼の目的ではない。描かれる絵のひとつひとつには、彼の思いが込められたものが多く存在する。彼は毎週金曜日に必ず「たこ焼き」を食べる。その為にいつも欠かさず2日前に「たこ焼き」の絵を描いては母に渡し確認を行う。青のりが振りかけられたものやマヨネーズが付けられたもの等、同じ「たこ焼き」でも様々。これは、食べたい物を用意をしてもらう為の母に対してのメッセージで、毎回確認をすることで安心できる彼なりの手段のひとつなのである。どの絵においても描き終えた後はいつも「できた！」「上手！」と周囲に問いかける。返された言葉や他者との関わりから彼は存在意義を実感しているのだろう。

born in 1992/ living in Shiga/ at YAMANAMI since 2011 Naoki Nishihashi puts all his heart in drawing many different things－his favorite food, TV characters, animals, and so on. Among them, one is a very special subject for his drawings. It is a takoyaki, a Japanese snack which is a ball-shaped pancake containing small pieces of octopus. He makes it a rule to eat takoyaki on Fridays. To let his mother know what kind of takoyaki he would like to eat next time, he draws different types of takoyaki every week― sometimes the one with dried seaweed, and sometimes the one with mayonnaise. By doing so, he gets a sense of security, and it is his way of communicating with others.
