1981年生まれ　滋賀県在住　2000年から『やまなみ工房』に所属 たくさんの糸くずの中から気に入った一本を抜き出す。始めは糸の端にループ状の結び目を作り、２・３針上下に縫っては、針に糸を何度も巻き付け緩やかな玉留めを作る。その行為を繰り返していくうち、ほつれていた結び目や糸同士は絡み合い、様々な色が混ざり合った不思議なリズム感のある作品となっていく。無作為に見える縫い方も彼女の中では規則があり計算されている。

born in 1981/ living in Shiga/ at YAMANAMI since 2000 Misuzu Seko’s embroidery is quite unique. First, she chooses an embroidery thread she likes, and then makes a loop knot at the end. She repeats this action and after a while, these loose knots and threads get entangled. The mixed colors of the threads give her embroidery an inimitable charm.
