1977年生まれ　滋賀県在住　2009年から『やまなみ工房』に所属 彼女の絵画が現在の緻密なスタイルになったのは、たくさんの人々が描かれた屏風図をモチーフにしたことがきっかけであった。描き初めは忠実に模写をしていたが、徐々に彼女なりのアレンジが加えられ密度を増しいつしか人の顔が隙間なく並ぶ絵画へと変化していった。1cm程の人物にも輪郭、表情、髪型やポーズに至るまで、順を追って入念に時間をかけ描く。彼女自身の繊細で何事にも丁寧に取り組む性格が作品にも反映されている。

born in 1977/ living in Shiga/ at YAMANAMI since 2009 Michiko Koyama once copied from a painting on a folding screen in which many people were drawn. It led her to establish her own elaborate drawing style. At first, she copied other’s painting. But she gradually adapted this technique to create her own style, in which a large number of human faces are arranged closely. Even when the size of one of these human faces is as small as 1cm, she tries to give a minute description of it, from the expression and hair style, to the standing pose.
