During his rest periods, Yuichiro Ukai always gazes at the illustrated reference books of insects, animals, or dinosaurs. That is why he likes to draw those kinds of living creatures. He has his own way of drawing; one creature first, then another one over the first, and another one, and so on over and over again. Each creature’s expression and movement differ, so together they look like a herd moving along. Yuichiro Ukai also works with clay. He skillfully transforms a chunk of clay into his favorite living creatures with arms, legs, and tails.
