    Michiko Yamada once copied from a painting on a folding screen in which many people were drawn. It led her to establish her own elaborate drawing style. At first, she copied other’s painting. But she gradually adapted this technique to create her own style, in which a large number of human faces are arranged closely. Even when the size of one of these human faces is as small as 1cm, she tries to give a minute description of it, from the expression and hair style, to the standing pose. Michiko Yamada’s artworks’ meticulousness mirrors her own delicacy
